Is this guy an owner, or renter? If renter, get in touch with the landlord and let him know what's going on with the pits being raised there. The owner will have insurance on his property and may not know the renter is raising pits.

Most homeowner's policies ban aggressive dogs from being raised on the property and will not insure the house because of the liability.

Chow barely had a mark on it and the Pit Bull hobbled off.

That Chow benefitted from having 3 inches of matted coat covering its skin.

Sadly, I’ve been there with dealing with unleashed dogs in my neighborhood.

You’re living in the wrong neighborhood if you have to carry a freaking tomahawk just to walk your dog.

This has zero bend and zero give and will allow me to deliver blow after blow until the dog runs off or dies.

But when the offending dogs started needing expensive vet bills the neighbors reinforced fences, and became much more careful.

Well this thread just got metal as frick.

I now have what I feel is the ultimate anti-dog weapon.

A Eastwing Tomahawk. It is a solid piece of metal made like a large hammer with a tomahawk blade on one end and spike on the other. This has zero bend and zero give and will allow me to deliver blow after blow until the dog runs off or dies.

LINK =

Link to tomahawk.

I put a rope around the wrist so if it slips out of my hand it will stay connected.

Wtf?
I think I would just move if I had to put this much thought and prep into walking my dog around the neighborhood.

Seriously, this thread just went from "does bear spray work on dogs?" To "I'll just bury a fricking tomahawk in cujo's head and call it a day".

I've had to take precautions too.

Here I am on a nice evening walk through my neighborhood.

Get a bite sleeve, let the dog attack you, and then sue the living shite out of the homeowner.

If you're not armed and one of those devil dogs makes a bee line for you, what can you do? Is it even physically possible to fight it off, or should you just assume the fetal position and hope for the best?

I'd have to use the year of kickboxing classes and hope my size and vigor is a deterrent.

More than likely my arm is getting chomped and I'll have to do something with the other arm to get it off.

All sounds good in my head. In reality, not so much.
