It HAD to work.

If you're in Philly go to tour where they signed it...or at least had the meetings developing it. The park service gives a great tour and teaches so much about those times.

Most people today don't realize the average mortality age for men in the mid-to-late 18th century was 35-40 years old.

Of course, that average young age was skewed by the high death rate for newborns and children succumbing to childhood diseases.

I could've too got alot more done by their age too if I didn't have to deal with labor laws, had free labor at the farm and no need to pay for baby sitters

+1. Independence National Historic Park is awesome.

The park service has done a great job preserving history.

Even have some original colonial streets you can walk on.

Also, go toss a penny on Ben Franklin’s headstone for good luck.

Then Lincoln had to go and screw it all up. Too cheap to buy them all inclusive cruise tickets. If he only knew what that decision was costing us now.

My memory says he was on board with that idea. He got assassinated before he could do it, though.

The post is relying on the average person's ignorance of American history details.

The "Founding Fathers" can be categorized as the people who signed the Declaration of Independence and the people who created the Constitution:

The Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776.
The Constitution convention occurred in 1787, over ten years later.

Monroe, Burr, Hamilton, and Madison did not draft or sign the Declaration of Independence. They had nothing to do with it. They were serving in the military or state legislatures.

Painters did them dirty. But then again, certain ages used to look a lot older in older generations.

Brian told me there would be no math in TigerDroppings.

It's early Monday morning.

The sun was in my eyes.
