Art museum wouldn’t be a good first date. Great second or third one though

I'm still amazed that anyone would come to the OT for dating advice.

I went to parish for the first time a few weeks ago and man was I disappointed. I expected more than a metal shop between a bunch of oilfield companies

There's someone that puts together a nice monthly guide of what to do in Lafayette and events called The Lafayette Compass. So could have some options depending on what day y'all meet up.

Not sure if they released one for January, but here's a link to the one they released for December: Reddit: Lafayette Compass December

I don't have a Facebook account, but I believe they have a page - may have released it on there.

You knew it was in Broussard. What else were you expecting?

Parish makes great beer but their tap room is lacking. Bayou Teche is fun on a good day of weather

Man, I thought the same about Parish. I guess I’m spoiled with Great Raft & Red River Brewing in SHV but I was very disappointed with Parish, especially compared to their great beer. There’s nothing wrong with it being in a Broussard industrial park but the tasting room was clearly an afterthought & looked more like a waiting room for a Dr’s office.
Oh & RocknBowl best bet in Lafayette.

Rock N Bowl has a less trashy crowd than other bowling alleys, but man their lanes, balls, and seating area really sucks arse.

Honestly, the newly renovated Acadiana Lanes is better for bowling if you can deal with being surrounded by peasants.
