It was nice 2-3 years ago when Mardi Gras was pretty under the radar, and no one really came.

This picture has been posted on here many times before, but the issue is America has overall become more slovenly, ignorant and yes "trashy".

All I can think is damn those people had to be sweating something awful

This post is two hours worth of people bitching/making fun of something on a message board they clearly have to clue about.

Love ya, OT. I’m heading out to cook breakfast on the parade route with my family.

Peace.

The whole appeal is that you can be trashy as you want for a few weeks and no one will care

Watching Iris at Superior Grill yesterday was all class. Beautiful day and beautiful parade.

Take away the locals up to no good I wonder what percentage of the people on Bourbon Street are from Louisiana?

A good bit. There's plenty of Louisiana natives that only know about Bourbon/French Quarter.

I try to avoid it around Mardi Gras, or any other big event really, because everything is jacked up in price.

IMO the whole city is a festering STD Petri Dish. If ever you visit NOLA be sure to take the sightseeing tour of the city. Make sure you include a pass near the collasped Hard Rock Hotel. But don't expect them to allow you to take selfies anywhere near the legs sticking out of the rubble.I lived near NOLA twenty years ago. It was a sh##hole then......still is.

As you were.

Mardi Gras day is the greatest day in the history of the world to be who you really want to be and not who society forces you to be.

Taking some peyote and becoming a Magical Indian Spiritual Chief for a day is a great day indeed.
