He lost an arm and leg in the explosion. He says they were told not to interfere when they were watching Taliban line people up and execute them.
They were warned about the suicide bomber and given a description. They found the guy matching the description hours before he blew himself up and were told they could not take him out.
So many fricked up things by the leadership during that fiasco.

You know, they say that the US Public Health Service wears uniforms so that they get the rights of captured soldiers during wartime.
Something tells me that Rachel Levine would still totally get laid if he went there.

the fact that Milley and McKenzie both kept their jobs (and were actually praised in some cicles) through all this says all you need to know about the current state of the military. loyalty to the regime is all that matters.
