Not to be a jerk, but you are looking for health insurance, not health care.

Very good distinction and one that has been lost in this debate. Health insurance does not equal health care. Not only has the ACA done the opposite of what Obama said it would do - deliver better coverage for less money - it has not produced one metric to indicate health care is better for anyone.

The ACA is a miserable failure. Seems to have been a good idea, with good intentions, but it's a complete failure. Needs to be demolished and started over.

Consider your age of 25-55 your investment years. This is the time you should have a job from which you can retire with good benefits and lifelong pension for you and your wife. If this is not the case and you are "self employed" you should earn 3 or 4 times more than your peers who have said job and the ability to wisely manage your finances that allows for increases in costs and decreases in income. This might keep you on par with them in the long term.

you have to have at least two employees to be a group. i think you have to have at least 50% of the employees to enroll on a small group. On a small group, Employer pays at least 50% of employee only premium. Large group has some ACA requirements, 3 safe harbor methods that you can use, employee cannot pay more than 9.56% of the employee only premium each month

And a small group of less than 5-10 will have little to no advantage over individual plans

Only the most extreme naive person would believe that. It is working, or not-working, just as planned. They said they would lie, they lied, the say they lied, and it doesnt work. And they dont care. They got what they wanted.

2015----$962 a month with a $12000 family deductible

Cite one metric that shows health care is better. Is the nation healthier?

I was trying to be kind and give the benefit of the doubt. But I don't blame you for seeing it in a different way. Much to support a jaded perspective.

But Pelosi said Obamacare would end job lock and allow entrepreneurs to start businesses.

OP should look into sharing ministries.

I seriously don't understand. Dems and Obama say they kept their promise for affordable health care. Overnight a year ago, my family premiums went from $730/month to $1380/month, and my deductible and copays rose. How can the average person afford this? Not rhetorical, seriously, does anyone know how people have survived that hit?

No problem. Immediately cut out all discretionary spending. Sell the house and buy something more Obama-friendly, say something in the 2 bedroom , one bath, bunk beds in the living room category. Then you can keep that awesome health insurance.
