Affordable French Quarter Parking Advice

Any good affordable parking spots in or around the French Quarter or CBD?
Trying to meet an old friend who is at the Monteleone.
I don’t mind parking in the CBD and walking or taking transit if it’s a few blocks further. TIA.

Good luck with affordable. I tend to park by the Westin as it is usually centrally located for me and can accommodate my full size truck easily.

Can you not Uber? I'm not trying to be a dick, just asking. On a day like today it's going to $20 minimum. Unless you're far you can Uber for the same price or less and not have to deal with parking.

I think parking at the monteleone is only $25 or so. Pretty reasonable.

I always park in the lot off Toulouse and Chartres. I have never had any issues.

You in New Orleans or coming from BR? If in the New Orleans area, I'd just Uber.

Free street parking on Sunday. Park wherever you can.
You will easily find something in the CBD or warehouse district.

Put work magnets on side of a truck
Find a spot labeled "freight parking only"
Profit.
Seriously. The key is for cheap to find a spot near rampart or at Claude.
If you want to park free, look in the Marigny or near river. The closer to canal the harder it is to park.
It's not a horrible idea to park down at charles and street car or uber in and out.

I park in the casino lot. With their card you can park for free if you gamble for 30 minutes. I just play the $.25 video poker machine real slow and I lose about $10 usually.

Go to Harrahs, get them to park it and act like you going to the casino

There is a garage outside the Quarter near the Saenger that is usually only $4. I would guess $10 today. Between Canal and Iberville, 2 blocks from Basin.

Park onside the road. Meter maids are off on Sunday and if you get a ticket its only $20.
