I have good luck with the one time use if LL. It was a large project, but mostly basement and I installed myself
I gave them the measurements, so any overage was on me.
I got LVP.
What’s wrong with LLs products or is it just typical shitty service and sales people?

I have never walked on a wood floor of any type that doesn't make some noise. Not sure what you're expecting here other than maybe getting lumber liquidators to pay for your floor because some jackoff called your fat wife fat.

I agree LL products are so so.
Had bamboo in my third house on Toledo Bend and on a pad installed in 2014. They will squeak. As far as weight even my super thin 25lb cat can be heard walking on the floor when it is quiet in the house.
They do scratch which is why I went with the distressed looked and touch up with a minwax stain.
I changed it out to tile that has a wood grain pattern & rugs as I have two cats and a lab that live inside.
My house in BTR and VP which are smaller I changed out the bedrooms that had carpet to the same bamboo flooring on a pad in 2014. They do the same thing especially when the seasons change.
I’m just going to put tile down in those homes also later this year when I redo the bathrooms.

I wanted to weigh in on this so to speak... I did not read most of the other posts.
About 10 years ago, I decided to lay down some floating oak hardwood.
Got rid of the carpet, sealed the concrete layed down two layers of roofing felt.. then the sound deadener.
Layed about 100 sq ft of floor... looked sweet.. however, I had the creeks.... couldn't figure it out...i had about three sleepless night.... finally I disassembled the floor... people told me the floor wasn't completely level.. and to level it with a concrete mix.
Screw that... I put down 5/8" plywood with screws..lots of work.. then nailed in the oak... perfect floors... lots of work... but perfect.

It’s a floating floor it’s gonna sound hollow click clack for 10k you could have had a real floor sorry you going to have to eat this one.

This is your problem.
#1, laminate should never be glued down.
#2, you shouldn't have floated your engineered wood. Should have glued it.
The removal of your glued down floors wasn't done properly and I bet there's pieces of shite under current floated floors.
Not reading all responses, so not sure if this has been mentioned.
