I have floating with premium under lament. It creaked a lot at first but once it all settles, it will lessen.
BTW, you got robbed. I did 1800sqft for about $6K but I did do the tile ripout myself.

No floor expert, but seems to me a floated bamboo floor would creak some right? Doesn’t the float give it some “give”.. really just came here to vouch for Sampson’s girl’s heaviness when I saw who posted.
