There really isn't much to it. You go, you likely will have to pay a fee to get in, at the door. You go get a table or sit near around the stage.. Order your drinks, pull out a stack of $1s and start tipping.
If you sit at the stage, the dancers will not keep coming up to you asking you if you want a lap dance, as much. If you want a lap dance, then go to a table and wait for them to stop by. It's usually about $20-$30 for a lap dance... Which includes her dancing in your lap for two songs. The average song last about 4 mins.. So you are paying her $20 for 8 minutes of her time. During that time she will likely try to talk to you, see if she can convince you to go get a private dance.
Really, there isn't that much involved. Drink, listen to music, tip strippers as they dance.

Although tempting to share the experience with the newbie, I’d suggest some other entertainment. It will be a waste of money on high priced watered drinks, cover charges, coupled with plastic women who work to get every $ you have. If he does like it, it will cause a bad economic trend going forward for him IMHO. Sorry to rain on this subject.
