Just pick up a cheap stand alone WiFi cam at amazon for $50 that plugs into the wall. Done

Then you can watch it from your phone anywhere.

You can do what I did, I made my own. You can pipe it in to the existing TV in your room. Set your RF modulator to output on channel 3 and when you turn to that channel there they are.

Here is how you do it...

I think it cost about 30 dollars with the camera and modulator. Took be a few hours though. It's better than anything you will buy and it uses your existing television.

So when the baby wakes up at 3 am you have to go in your living room an turn on the TV to see him?

People that say this must either let the kid sleep in the room with them or their room is right across the hall

Because no way would me or my wife hear our daughter crying from our room.

I'm assuming he has a TV in his bedroom. But, if you wire it right you can broadcast it to your entire home and view it on any TV in your house.

We used gift cards from various showers to pick up a motorola video monitor at target. We have been very pleased with it. I would definitely recommend.

We actually took back a video monitor that we got at a baby shower and bought a monitor that goes under the mattress, it alarms when the baby stops breathing for a certain period of time. I think it was called angel care. We love it and will use it whenever we have another.

I got a video one. I can link it to Skype so I can watch sports and have the monitor on the side thanks to my XB1.

One of the main perks of a video monitor is to be able to glance over at it when the baby makes noise to see if you need to go in there, especially when you're sleep training the proper way.

Same, and our house is no where near OT Baller size either.

Definitely video as mentioned in here already.

I just wanted to comment on be careful which one you choose and te interference it can cause with your home wireless. I use the Motorola one, and it caused major issues with my 2.4ghz wifi. I had to buy a dual band modem to be able to use my wifi again.

GET THE VIDEO, especially if you are a new parent. We started off with non-video and would run into the room when we heard every little peep. With the Video you can look and see if he's settled himself down before you go after them. That will come in handy in the middle of the night.

That's the one we have. Think it's called Angel Monitor. My son rolled to the other side of his bed about 2 weeks ago and the alarm went off. Talk about scare the shite out of me. I didn't know my wife could move so fast.

Holy shite yes it's worth it. It's worth three times the price. No need to get the wifi but definitely get the video.
