When did we start putting adult-sized humans in car seats? Is this in response to an epidemic of 12 year olds sliding through seat belts? Did I miss an entire generation’s worth of carnage?

The car seat lobby did a number on Congress and clown arse helicopter parents. We have moms outchea putting children bigger than themselves in car seats. It’s only a matter of time before these lame parents start sitting in car seats of their own.

You know the crazy thing about car seats is that cars already come with them. Unless you’re a baby, you don’t need to be sitting in an additional, supplementary car seat. I use the term “baby” very loosely because I understand that parents in 2018 consider their 7 year olds to be babies.

I give it 10 years before we have parents being guilted into putting protective bubble wrap sleeves over their children before they get in the car.

Did you know that carseats supposedly expire in 2-3 years?

My wife wanted to buy a new seat for our youngest and I said what's wrong with the old one (three years old)?

"It's expired"

"It's hard plastic and metal, not milk"

I just throw my kids in the bed of my pickup. Haven't had any problems as of yet.

you can convince parents of anything. The nerve of a car seat company to tell you that you have to buy another car seat because the last one “expired.”

My 7 yr old is still in a car seat. It’s safe and he fits so why not. Plus I’m too lazy to figure out how to remove it.

We didn't have car seats, or even seat belts, in the 60's. Most of us turned out OK. I can remember riding across the bridge between Natchez, and Vidalia, in the back of a pick up. You'd probably go to jail for letting a dog do that today.

This soft society just sucks us dry of everything manly. Sometimes I want to pull out my penis, and shake it in a crowd, just to let THEM know I still have it.

When you have kids, you can comment

Otherwise your scrawny sons will probably slip through the seatbelts

Yeah and you also used lead based paints and asbestos in homes, but hey, you guys were “manly” at least.
