There's not a year that goes by, not a year, that I don't read about some escalator accident involving some bastard kid which could have easily been avoided had some parent, I don't care which one, but some parent conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator!

I'm getting progressively worse at stepping off escalators and I have no idea why. I think I'm overthinking it.

Actually the step off of a moving sidewalk is more scary than the step off of an escalator (if you are walking on the moving sidewalk, not just riding)

I generally don't have a problem with them but the down escalators at ATL airport are long and steep and not friendly with roller board luggage.

yeah, it's not really scary, but you just have to brace for the deceleration effect

Stepping on escalators is more of my problem

I look like a retard getting on one. More often than not my timing will be wrong and I'll end up with half a foot off a step and have to catch myself before falling
