It's one of those fears that I outgrew when I realized it was an irrational fear.
Same with my fear of quicksand and ghosts

I freak out when I see people putting their hands on those nasty assed hand rails. Worse than touching a toilet seat.

I haven't ridden an escalator in 15 years.

I have a legit panic attack and can not physically force myself to step on one.

I know where all the stairs and elevators are wherever I go.

I always feel like a tool at an airport when it's me and some lady with a stroller and some old dude in a wheelchair in an elevator.

But I can not physically do it.

I did the same thing in Atlanta. My wife reminds me every time we go through there now.

I'm more worried about tripping when I'm on it. I'd be falling down the steps for the next hour.
