I was similar to you. It really isn’t hard to do — booze is a drain on your body, poor health or not. Once you move away from it, you will find that only people with drinking problems find it weird that you don’t drink. You will sleep better and feel younger.

I drank every day for ten years. I now drink once a week. It dehydrates me to the point, I can't sleep.

Some weeks I don't drink at all. Some weeks I drink twice.
Whatever I think my body can handle, or what I feel like doing.

If you can't control it, You are better off without.

Quit drinking about 4 years ago. Don't miss it. Don't miss the activities or the life. You get used to it.

I understand and am right there with you... with me, I just can't have one beer.. it doesn't work that way.

Weed... fine... But weed makes me want to drink.. Once I catch a weed buzz, it's like.. man a beer sounds good.

But I usually don't smoke early in the day...

Trying to get fit has me cutting carbs, exceeding and I only drink about once a week now...

Believe it or not, they say the if you do drink, rum and tequila is better for you than whisky, beer and wine.

I'm actually going through the same thing right now, I am working on cutting back on drinking. I use to have a beer or two every day after work just due to the stress, but now I have been really focusing on just cutting back and limiting my drinking. It really has lead to more stress in my life then allowing me to relax from it lol. I'll probably have a few during the Christmas holidays with the family but I'm really gonna put a lot more effort into not drinking at all during the week/weekend.

Have a medical issue or two. While they aren’t caused by drinking they make drinking a poor idea. Especially to excess.

Hope sobriety will lead to you to quit referring to yourself with the retarded, illiterate, term "baw"? Maybe your grammar will improve as well.

I generally take a month off and am currently 2 weeks away from my month, then I ease back in with only drinking on Fridays. The clarity you finds after a week is actually pretty mind blowing. Health benefits outweigh the feeling of a hangover…but if lsu was in the playoff i would have been a cheap date.

So thinking drinking enough to have a hangover all the time makes me a dork?

I mean if over 30 and it ain’t got a special occasion or complete 1 off….. yea you have a problem, if that makes me a dork…oh well

And we wonder why Louisiana is essentially a shithole

It is sad how many people on here feel like they must get Hogg or drink daily just to function. It is amazing how many on here claim to be professionals making good money and having such a great career yet live their life like trashiest of construction workers.
