Good question

My kids aren't old enough for me to worry about that yet.

Teachers unions are willingly vilifying teachers in this process in the aim to exert political influence. frick this.

Kind of sucks but the people that live in that parish are gonna be happy when they get that rebate check for all the maintenance and utilities savings over that month.

Yeh St. Tammany is giving every student in every grade the option of going fully virtual if they want to

However, if they choose this they are locked in for the full semester

Original Start date for St. Tammany was Thurs Aug 20th I think

What’s going to change by pushing the start date back.
Is the virus going to suddenly go away in September 1st?

I think their reasoning is to get the computers/virtual school setup etc etc

Not sure if that is bullshite or not

I've given up on changes in policy having any sort of logic behind them.

ETA: This is assuming that you think the entire summer should have been more than enough time for them to figure out how they wanted to implement any virtual learning.

It gets them one month closer to the election. I’m sure they’ll push it back at least once more. Gotta save our precious teachers. Screw everyone else who works a real job.
