Here is the real reason St. Tammany has one of the best school systems in the state

Dang. That's going to be rough not having a mardi gras break. Our schools always get the week off. One year the new priest decided he wanted the school to only be off for Monday and Tuesday so the kids could be back at school for Ash Wednesday.
Yeah that went over like a fart in church and he backed away from that idea.
My daughter's college is going to shutdown for Thanksgiving and not have them back on campus until early January.

after covid is come and gone, all schools need to go back to opening after Labor day. extend the summer and cut back on the number of breaks during the year.....
