I've always wondered when people say "prayers sent" are they really praying to God on that persons behalf or do they just type prayers sent to feel better about something?

Honestly, as an agnostic I'm never quite sure what to say. If there is a God I'm sending out my mind vibes for TM to get better, I'm guessing an Omniscient Creator could hear that and hopefully He gives a shite
