Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge uses metal detectors as part of its security measures. Despite this, a student brought a gun into a classroom in February 2026, triggering an investigation into a security breach. Reports indicate the student was flagged by the detector, but a clerk did not check them

The problem isn’t on them. You can arrest these pieces of shite all day long, and I’d bet everything they all should be in jail right now due to prior arrests, but the police chief and mayor aren’t responsible for prosecuting and sentencing them so they can’t continue to victimize society.
You are correct. The uninformed vote and don't even know who is screwing them over. Voting is important, but voting smart is more important.

There are armed security guards walking around the mall & actual police at the front entrance at all times. Wish someone would have notified police when the arguing started. Guess it escalated quickly?

Yes, I am interested to know why he caught multiple gun charges at Istrouma, then bounces right into class at Live Oak.

Commissioners of the 19th JDC are appointed by the judges of the court sitting en banc.

Yes. The article states that he was restricted to work, school, or church.
Give him the needle and restrict him to the cemetery.

There were multiple arrests. Is Istrouma guy and Live Oak guy the same piece of shite or different pieces of shite?

There were 5 arrested. Probably not the same guy.
Might be the only one over 18 years old

Do you even worldstar? shite pops off with the quickness. There's little time between impulse and action.

I want them to harass these thugs so much that they want to leave town. Or be too scared to do these types
Of acts.
Do you honestly think BRPD does a good job at crime prevention? If so, how? All I see them doing is responding to events. Or riding around with their light bars on. But I never see them actually doing anything proactive. Criminals are bold because the police appear to be feckless. That’s on BRPD. And Mayor Coach has been in office long enough to answer for the utter lack of a police presence and effectiveness. From misdemeanor traffic laws to acts of violence, BRPD is absent. Till after the fact. No doubt the EBR criminal justice system is laughable, but that shouldn’t be an excuse for BRPDs utter ineffectiveness.

There has only been one person arrested in Watson, and he is the same one arrested at Istrouma High in February. The address where he lives and was arrested is in the Live Oak district, and he was allowed to go to school under the terms of his house arrest.
Now LP sheriff is saying he has not been confirmed as a perpetrator in the mall incident, but had schedule II narcotics and a gun, so they took him in.

Elaborate.
It was a simple question about what a judge’s order was.
I’ve put more of these people in jail than you can imagine.
I’ve never seen someone prohibited from going to the mall without an approved reason.
Based on what I’ve seen being monitored by phone is not continuous monitoring. The technology will randomly ping the criminal and detect his location at the moment. It does not prevent anything.
If judges really want to restrict movement, they do not let people out of jail. The judge obviously WANTED him to be free to roam wherever he wanted to go, but only detect where he has been.

Time and time again Hillar has failed the city. And I know him personally.

Hopefully the gun will finally be taken away.
