Familiar with Nellies?

I was born there in 91 and left in 95. Only came back here and there to visit family.

Too young for Nellie’s. But I know Fat Mama.

BR problem is not federal, hoss. It’s the local politicians pockets.

Yes and no. For an interstate system, the federal government can always expropriate for public use and there's frick-all the state or local politicos can do. The problem is you have to have the drive in DC to have the desire to make the project happen be stronger than the bonds of backroom deals.

I think he is using bridges in Vidalia in a very specific sense. It has 1 bridge or maybe span for east bound traffic and 1 bridge/span for westbound traffic for the same road crossing the river. It has 1 road crossing the river using 2 bridges.

Both of the 2 separate hwys crossing the river in BR have both directions of traffic using the same bridges/span. 2 road crossings that are each just using 1 bridge for a total 2 bridges crossing in BR (with one of those obviously an Interstate and much busier).

All hell would break loose if that happened in BR

A towboat and it's barges got spun sideways by the current when the river was crazy high and hit the old bridge back in March of 97. Bunch of barges sank, and the only red flagged barge they had, full of benzene, flipped over and ended up against the west side bank just below the bridge. It was a cluster frick for several days

And a certain BR attorney made so much money off of frivolous lawsuits resulting from that he had a personalized license plate made for his car referencing “the barge.”

We were on our way home from Omaha dropping daughter off in Natchez when we drove up on that shite.
Cost another 1.5 hours on that LONG arse drive.

But totally worth it.

If the bridge gets hit I hope that shite gets fixed before mid August. I don't want to have stay in Vidalia for work.

I was born in Natchez. I always had this fear of going to one side of the river to my grandparents and being trapped from getting home.

That's when you drive north, stop by the sex store in Delta, then cross at Vicksburg.

Bang on their brisket, but their ribs are freaking great! The catfish is seasoned and cooked perfect!!! Burgers may be a little under seasoned for me, but they’re big, juicy, good meat, and cooked perfectly. I always get my burger there w bacon and get a side of bbq sauce to put on the patty and add some salt n pepper. Awesome burger!!!

They also run Moos across the river. I always get the burger with the fried egg - it’s fantastic!

Eh….

I’m actually glad they turned that back into a Fish Fry. They got pretty darn good seafood… I mean, it ain’t the Duck’s Nest, Red Top, or Roux 61… but good seafood…
