Abandoned Replies and the Consequences

Surely you thought about posting something and had second thoughts.
What happens to all those abandoned replies? You know, when you don't actually delete the message, but instead just click a link taking you back to a forum. Where do they go? Do they still exist out there in the space between dimensions? Are our forgotten thoughts still alive? In pain, maybe?
Earlier today, I was about to post a pic of my cock, but I couldn't do it and I forgot to delete it before clicking on a link taking me back to the OT. I'm afraid something bad might happen to my cock while it's floating around in cyberspace purgatory.
