For instance, the person who staked out that dog. I would rescue the dog and leave them.

In what cases Jim?????? I strongly disagree here

Case #1:

You are hiking through the mountains of North Korea. There's a basket of puppies teetering on the edge of a cliff. Next to that basket, Kim Jong Un is hanging on to the mountainside with one hand. You only have time to react to save one. I'm going basket of puppies 100% of the time, every time, and letting the Great Leader put his flying capabilities that he probably claims to have to the test.

Ok. Did you have a plan when you had your pet in case of something like this???????

Did I have a plan for massive flash floods where I have to be rescued by the national guard who won't take pets?

No. I did not.

you can't plan for being stranded
That's not really a plausible scenario for the OP IMO.

I said just about. Any dog outside of a pit is for sure getting saved, maybe even some pits. Stop stretching so much, nobody has a pet squirrel.

Ok. I can live with that. But would you leave him like that dog was???? Do you even watch the fricking weather?????? You telling me that YOU had zero clue this was coming. If so you are a dipshit. And don't deserve a pet.

Is that what happened in the OP?

Where did the national guard part of this come from?

Not speaking for dukke, but my answer to that scenario would be "alright then I'm not getting on that boat. Thanks anyway."

I would get my pets out one way or the other. But again. I KNEW this could happen so I planned ahead of time.

Then yes, I would save your squirrel well before I saved your shitty cousin who abandoned the squirrel.

Do you have kids or anyone you're responsible for?

I'd hope not.

Dukke, here was your prediction from Thursday.
quote:

I just don't see the Baton Rouge area getting as much rain as predicted. Some strong showers but just not as bad. The New Orleans area will get a ton though.
quote:

I will stick by what I said earlier. BR won't get near 10-15 inches of rain, unless this system moves in a more northerly direction. I just don't see anything pulling it north.
