Wondering if it’s worth it just based the 24/7 roadside assistance alone.

Obviously I don’t plan on my 2019 Ferrari breaking down - because I’m not OT poor - but just in case.

Anyone a member?

My grandpa told me all the A things are good things

A: as in grades in school

AA: if you need that to get your life in order

AAA : he only used it once or twice but was worth it.

Btw, if you are with somebody else and they need it, you can use it.

Just get the best package for I think 110.00 for the year. It has unlimited tows and will tow you 100 miles. Plus it will cover 2 ppl no matter what vehicle you are in. You could be riding with a friend and you can use it.

AAA Basic only pays for the first 5 miles of towing. After that it’s like $6 a mile

15 year member.
Worth every penny....esp when you break down on the side of the interstate or have a flat at 3am in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah the AAA plus package with RV coverage for when hauling the 5th wheel. It's definitely nice to have.

Yes indeed. It cost about $500 to tow my 5th wheel about 60 miles.

They are good to have especially for women and those with kids. It keeps you from being stranded

I have State Farm roadside assistance. The one time I tried to use it. It was going to be a 6-7 hour wait for a tow truck. I hitch hiked 50 miles round trip to get an alternator and changed it out in about 4 hours.

Most car insurance policies offer roadside assistance and towing for a lot cheaper. They’ll come jump start you, change a flat, bring gas if you run out and give you a tow (but its generally only limited to 5-10 miles before you pay for additional miles). If you don’t really travel much, just add roadside and towing to your car insurance

But if you travel a lot, then one of the higher level AAA memberships is worth it because of travel discounts and in case you get stuck in the middle of nowhere needing a tow.

thanks for the replies.

Yeah I’m aware that insurance companies cover roadside. I have State Farm, used it once and never again. Waited for hours only to have a tow truck show up that could’ve used a tow himself. Thing was the worst tow truck I have ever seen.

If you have teenage drivers it is a must in my book. Locked keys in car alone has saved me 100s of dollars
