AAA insurance isn't the most efficient but they're one of the last two in Texas that offers superior HOAB underwriting that covers everything except an explicit exclusion list.

Everyone else sorta screws you if something unexpected happens - like mold became the thing in the 1990's.

You need AAA roadside assistance to quality for AAA Homeowners insurance.

So yes, it's definitely worthwhile in Texas.

If you travel out of town often it is worth it for the free towing. And you get a free car rental as long as the tow occurs in your home state.

Roadside service is nice too.

I love AAA. Just for the peace of mind. I’ve used it a couple of times and never had an issue.

I had them for a few years and honestly, didn't really find that they did anything that I couldn't do myself. Used to be an issue if you were out of town and broke down....now, you just ask siri for a nearby emergency road service and it tells you a half dozen of them. Honestly, I haven't broken down but a time or two in my life, so not worth it, IMO.

Yes, it's worth every penny. I got a flat in Grand Isle and AAA sent someone to fix it within 30 minutes. I could've done it myself, but frick, if they'll come do it that quickly, why not?

Every few weeks there is a millennial bashing thread that people complain about them not being able to change a tire. Then in this thread, everyone is frick changing a tire I call roadside assistance and watch them change it.

They just learned it from us.

I've had it for 17 years.

One tow a year pays for it. Plus the 10 percents off at a lot of places / hotel is a nice thing to have.

I'm not a fan of it. Have had battery issues and thought I'd use it. They wanted me to pay $200 for a $100 battery, and other nonsense.

Yes, the few times I've needed it I've been happy to have the service. Plus like others have said, great customer service. (I've used AAA benefits on other peoples cars before as well, had a friend who broke down and got a tow for him)

AAA is too cheap not to have, I will never change a flat tire on the side of the interstate with 18 wheelers passing 4 feet from me.

If I don't feel safe I'll call AAA as well.

I just booked a rental car yesterday and my AAA discount saved me about $100. That alone paid for it.

Had it for 12 years and had the basic coverage. One tow on the interstate made me realize the plus plan was the way to go. 100 mile tow service.

Been a godsend living in Nola. Never used it when I lived in Birmingham for three years. Used it three times in Nola in the last year.

I have had it for 10 years or so. The discounts at hotels and attractions are nice, even when small. Also it has been a life saver a couple of times when I have been out places (Braves game, restaraunt) and needed a jump or a new battery. The nice thing about the roadside assistance is that it doesn't have to be your car, it can be any car you are a passenger in.
