Just got a text from my sponsor that our AA meetings are being cancelled for the foreseeable future. Sucks but I think we all knew this was coming. Just wanna say to everyone else out there that belongs to support groups to be strong and use the resources you do have. Don’t drink. Stay sober. It’s not worth it. Give it to God.

I haven't heard anything like this yet. Check around and see if you have more options. Hopefully you have some other meetings around to get to.

Our have been moved from any church locations. The churches are not allowing it right now.

The only thing that will get you through this is a nice glass of whiskey.

All the quarantining and stuff being shut down will be a big temptation. Find some other hobbies to keep you and your mind busy. Good luck, brother!

Damn. Luckily I have a good support system at home and wife isn’t afraid to go through the book with me. I feel sorry for my brothers that don’t have that. If you are one of those, don’t be afraid to reach out. I am here for anyone who needs it.

Serious question - I would think in 2020 there is some kind of phone support or online support group?

I know you can go through zoom for some online meetings. I haven’t tried it yet, but I am forced to now.

And for anyone with stupid remarks. I don’t care if I get banned. Go frick Yourself.

Listen to speakers on you tube. Reach out to friends in the program. Read your literature. Use the tools of the program. Get out of self as best you can!

If all else, I'm pretty sure there are AA groups that meet at scheduled times online. Chat format.
