When you are wondering how Louisiana has a yearly budget comparable to states like Pennsylvania, just remember that we have idiots in accounting paying for services (without question) that either do not exist, or are grossly excessive in cost.

So, when JBE wants to raise taxes because the state overspends their yearly revenues like a OTer at whore house with an unlimited supply blow, tell him to go frick himself. Imagine the story above happening at the state level, but at much higher monetary levels.

Louisiana is in the top half of state budgets in the US, but usually last in nearly every quantifiable category.
