don’t you claim to have a full time job and train in the gym several times a week and in your mid 40s?

But you still cash a government check because you’re ‘disabled’?

Yes. Tell your wife and father in law thanks for paying their taxes.

You and I have more in common than mid 40s and white.

The previously mentioned are supporting us both.

27% of all Americans are under 22 years old, I don’t really expect teenagers to have retirement accounts.

and im sure this is also including boomers who rely on pensions and SS with fully paid off homes

I knew a guy like that, graduated HS and joined the Navy at 17, did 25 years, then taught ROTC for 20 years in LA, then got a job at a high school in Texas teaching ROTC. Said he would retire at 65 with 3 pensions and social security.

VA benefits as well which reduce his tax.

Also has medical and dental depending on how long he was in.

The savings for these guys can be tremendous

He put in his service, everybody else had the same opportunity. When he signed up for those service positions he was presented with a pay and benefits package that he accepted as compensation. How is that "wrong"?

Investing $25 a week starting at age 18 through age 65(47 yrs) at 8% interests/growth = $557,000.

This is assuming nothing ever goes wrong. Medical issues, rehab, weather etc.

Not investing something like this is a greater risk.

Do it. Do it. Do it.

Hope for a Mamdani to take from people like me. They'll vote to tax everyone's 401k or just seize it.

They will “borrow” it but your heirs won’t see a penny of it.

Why is any of this a struggle for you.
People who become disabled in our service receive some compensation, but still need to stay in shape and earn the rest of their living.
