Is it really surprising?
We destroyed fatherhood, religion, and equal opportunity merit based rewards and replaced them with the government, political affiliation, and non-merit based equity principles.

Not at all. I do like the forum. But I try to avoid posting comments that I wouldn't say to someone in person or have it on the front page of a newspaper. I don't really need the anonymity.
ETA - know that I've thought about it, I probably say a shite ton on here that I wouldn't want on the front page of a newspaper.

Thats not to say you won't be the one on the right side of history, but your opinion isnt new.
To compare what is going on today to the Civil Rights movement diminishes what MLK and the black people of that generation went through. It's not even close.
A big problem is people like you even putting the two on the same plane. These young people today act like they're as oppressed as blacks in the 50's and prior, but in reality it's not even close. What's funny is many actually go completely against what MLK preached. They have no interest in judging people by the content of their character. Race and skin color means everything to them.

The problem is it's never been easier to be an activist.... hit share on a BLM meme, call yourself a black rights activist. I know multiple white guilt people who have been posting memes out the arse and have not attended a single march or protest

Look at Chuba Hubbard incident, instead of going straight to the coach and handling face-to-face like a real man, he whined about it on social media(look at me) and low and behold cancel culture forced Gundy to cave. The kid got what he wanted. What did this really teach the kid or Coach Gundy for that matter? Kick and scream loud enough, you can get your way no matter how it affects the other person.

I remember reading that 80% of tweets are created by 20% of users. These people don’t represent the average social media user much less the average person. But being so loud as they are, they get more attention and followers.
There’s also the whole power and popularity going to people’s heads. Before it was mostly just celebrities and politicians. But thanks to social media, the average person can become “famous” with thousands of followers.
