Kids are seeing people like Colin Kap who fail miserably, blame someone else for their failure, then make millions being an America-hating victim.

You are looking up to the wrong people, but who can blame them when society makes them out to be heroes on the level of soldiers that liberated countries in WW2.

Because up until this damn pandemic, we've had a lot of good years. Youth need something to be all angsty and upset about. When everything is too good, they will invent something.

How? Human nature.

quote:

Humans have an innate need to believe in something righteous

This is 100% true.

quote:

That traditionally has been religion.

For all of the knaves who are deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow instead of leading.

quote:

As religion has grown less popular in the West

We (The West) become stronger. Faith requires an irresponsible level of trust and complacency, it turns real men into sycophants.

quote:

Social Justice is a new religion.

I do not disagree. See my notes on religion.

Here are alternatives to theism:

* Believe in your own self ( be the change you wish to see )

* Believe in your country ( divine national destiny )

* Believe in your species ( this one should be the most obvious )

* Believe in your own children ( beget the change you wish to see )

* Elevate your most honored ancestors to divinity ( worship the past, old people are smart and wise )

If you're going accept the chains of faith, judge your potential master carefully and make sure it was worthy.

All you need to know about the activist mentality is summed up in the words of Capt Redlegs Terill in the movie The Outlaw Josey Wales

Doing right ain't got no end

When you combine this righteous mindset with the positive reinforcement from media and social media you get the plague we now face.

This generation is trapped in a state of perpetual adolescence.

The government and our culture is the shitty parent everyone hates who keeps caving to their shitty kids instead of being a good parent. It's infuriating to anyone who actually gives a shite about their kids.
