Yea I wasn't going to share that here so that this didn't turn into a vaccine argument but she was definitely high risk.

The wife I wouldn’t mind so much, but losing the kids would suck.

No words can express. F. I can barely read that it’s so bad to think about.

I guess I’d be like some old guy in a Jimmy Buffett song and just live in the islands and fish.

ETA: like I said I didn’t see the part about still having the son because it was hard to digest. Yeah that’s his focus now.

makes me think of that poster on the money board wondering if 3.5 mill is enough to retire. you got guys with 5 kids who can retire at 50 and then you've got guys like this who have lost everything over and over and over.

When you hear these stories it makes you question things... Especially when it involves kids dying.

I mentioned this on here the other day, but a good friend of mine's sister-in-law's 6 year old came home from school with a headache one day this past April.

48 hrs later they were at St. Judes and was given 6 months to live. She passed away at the end of August. There is just something that hits different when children are involved.

It is unimaginable what someone who lost 4 kids years ago then just lost his wife.. That truly has to be hell on Earth and it really makes you question things..

So not to sound rude, bur how do you lose 4 kids in a house fire?

Was it a shitty house? Lack of smoke alarms?

I am looking at my house now and figure it would take a full on explosion for that to happen.

There just seams to be more to the story.

Double wide mobile home with bad wiring in the middle of the night. IIRC the side of the house the girls were on is where the fire started and they died of smoke inhalation and never really stood a chance of getting out.

That son is the line between life or death for him I'd imagine. Couldn't imagine how that would even feel

my uncle, dads brother, has had his house burn down and his youngest son die unexpectedly from a skateboarding accident all within a span of 10 or so days. its really hit my dad hard

theres nothing to say outside of sometimes the universe just dumps a lot of shite on people and theres nothing you can do sometimes outside of being there and hoping the person has enough mental fortitude to get through

I went to high school with a girl who lost her husband in an accident at work. Then she had a car accident a year later. Their kids are being raised by her sister These kinds of stories make you see how good you have it

I went to school with her too. Both horrible accidents... The poor kids.

ETA.... The girl I know passed away after a few months in the hospital from an ATV accident

Her last Facebook post. Sad that people talked her out of getting vaccinated

“Be warned I’m gonna on a bit of rant. These are my opinions and don’t debate with me right now. I’m in no mood.

If you get Covid, do not think you can just shake it off. This is not like the flu. It’s way worse. It may start out like a sinus infection but it may not stay that way. If you think you have a sinus infection get tested anyways ASAP. The sooner you get the Covid medicine the better. Get the good medicine from the start even if you think you don’t need it, even if your doctor won’t prescribe it, even if your phamarcy won’t fill it or is out. Get another doctor. Find another pharmacy: they have different suppliers, small pharmacies are having better luck getting the medications.

Yes I’m over weight and that’s against me but I’m in relatively good health even with being over weight. I have low blood pressure, low blood sugar. I only take synthroid and anxiety medications daily. I’m blessed.

Here’s where most will disagree with me. I let social media, other’s opinions and online posts scare me away from the vaccine. Yes I know it’s all scary. There’s not a long term study yet. I know all of that. Do your own research. Talk to a trusted doctor, make your own mind up don’t let people do it for you. Do I wish the vaccines didn’t require boosters? Yes but they are working to improve them. Do I wish I would have at least taken the vaccine to help prevent this and make my symptoms less? Yes. Maybe just maybe it could’ve helped. Do I wish I would’ve gotten covid meds sooner? Yes. But here I am in the hospital alone. I’m fighting alone. My husband, son, parents, family and friends are terrified. My son blames himself. We are out of state. I know no one at this hospital. Luckily I was blessed with the last bed. Beds are running out guys, badly. Health care is running on fumes again. Pray for everyone.

I have tremendous faith. I’m also scared and tired. I know God has me.

Added: keep social distancing and wear the damn masks. If these health care workers can hazmat up every time they come in my room then use your mask. You may not think it helps but what if it does and you’re wrong?”
