Does not compute. Generic Mac & Ceese is probably half that price.

Didn't you mean 3.50 minutes?

This is why people hate lawyers.

The settlement will probably require them to change it to “Microwaves in 3.5 minutes, you annoying bitch!”

It is a class action. She is claiming the entire mac eating public has been damaged to the tune of $5m.

MAYBE if we count plumbing destroyed by constipation from this…

The lawsuit claims the box advertises it should take 3.50 minutes from the second your fat fingers grabs it out the pantry, to a fork crossing over your double chin, into your mouth.

They say the box excludes the 2 min prep time.

The Kraft Heinz Foods Company should cook a 55 gallon pot of Velveeta Shells & Cheese for 3 1/2" minutes and dump it on Amanda Ramirez of Hialeah, Florida and her lawyers then ask her if it should be heated longer.

Lawyers have to find some way to pay for the billboards.

This Beyoncé should be forces to pay all attorney fees for the defendant and serve jail time for wasting the court's time.

Lawyers are just doing their job when someone hires them to perform their services.

In many cases, this is true. However, 100% chance this lawyer took the case solely because he is hoping to extort a truth in advertising class action payday (more likely 40% of a nuisance value settlement). I'll bet you a steak dinner this lady isn't paying the lawyer by the hour.

Yep, the cheap small ones barely have 700 watts of power. I just upgraded mine since it was on the fritz. Target had a 1.3 cu ft 1100 watt one for 79 dollars.

Some of the largest microwaves have 1500 watts.

I think directions are based on a 1000 watt microwave.

So, those small ones with only 700 watts will take longer to cook anything.

Velveeta should secretly settle with her for a free microwave instead of fighting. It may cost more for an attorney and lawyer to fight it.

They should also start printing directions and times for various microwave powers.

It took me 3.5 minutes to try to give a chit.

Time lost and not one second of give-a-chit gained.

The Birds Eye frozen vegetables I use sometimes do this. They give the times for 800, 1000 and 1200 watt microwaves. The wattage does make some difference

This is precisely why I no longer promise my wife 2 minutes.

The issue is not including all the steps. Include steps like taking off your clothes, getting into bed, and cleanup time, then you might be able to cover the full 2 mins and not get sued

It would definitely need to be heated longer if you wanted to burn her. Now if you wanted to dump cold or lukewarm water on her head, it would be heated just right

It actually doesn’t say a lawyer filed it. You don’t need one. I know a few jack legs that file shite on their own constantly.

It appears to have been filed by lawyers associated with Classaction.org.

In this kind of case the lawyers will negotiate an $11 coupon for the class, a small payment for the class reps and millions in fees for the attorneys. This kind of extortion has to stop. I hope that Kraft defends this one all the way to trial.
