You need to send that to Lee Zurik ....
Lee Zurik hit Ochsner hard on Saudi Arabians paying cash money to Ochsner and receiving American donated livers. They were jumping the line to be transplanted as well. More was supposed to come out about it but someone tied Lee's hands up on it.
Lee Zurik also didn't seem to dig too deep when an investigation found that they were hiding the prices of their services, which were way higher than others in the area. Posing as a "do good for the community, non profit," you'd think their prices would be more equivalent to what other facilities charge
Ochsner is in bed with Fox 8 some sort of way and rarely outs them. Maybe a connection from when Tom and Gayle Benson owned the station. Her and Tom donated alot of money to Ochsner.

Y'all are criticizing them, but they really need that money to buy the rest of Louisiana for more Ochsner buildings.

Do you go to work and risk you life and your families every day ?
How was this statement different before March? Doctors, nurses, health care workers, day care workers, teachers, etc. all expose themselves more than most to germs and viruses on a daily basis.
BTW, if hospitals are so damn overwhelmed, why are they laying off employees?
More than a million HC workers laid off

Why not put tip jars at the nurses stations, like the ones we see at retail shops (for example at donut shops and carry-out pizza shops).

Fwiw - in the first 60 days of C-19, they lost $130M without elective surgeries, etc.

frick oshners. they make enough money to buy out every small hospital in the state, pay warner thomas well into the 7 figures, and then cut staffs hours. And ask customers for donations?????
what a crock.
what a crock.

Donations are a choice. If you chose not to that's fine, but trying to make light of thier dedication right now is callous and a ridiculously dumb thing to DC o right now IMO.
What's the going hourly rate for an ICU nurse? I know you can make a few extra bucks doing the overnight shifts. Just interested.

Ocshner is not making any money right now. Everyone is avoiding going to the hospital because of covid. If you have covid, go to the hospital. If you have ANYTHING else. Don’t go. So Ocshner is losing a lot of money. But, frick Ocshner.

Wow, where are the department heads for DOD, police, and paramedics? I’m sure all of those frontliners would like some extra dollars for doing their jobs as well!

Man I would have retired much sooner if I knew I could take donations at my job...restoring power to many people at once bfrom the confines of a Substation..or picking up a lot of load closing a Field switch...Dang imagine 1,500 to 2000 giving me a donation....for doing my job.
All of the utility providers in Louisiana have charitable foundations where they solicit their customers. FWIW.
Most of these companies use their foundation $$ for bill assistance, employee assistance funds, and community programs/projects.
