Ah Tony's - some of the best crawfish and boudin in the parish. I love going up to NBR just for that and getting the fck out of there as quickly as possible.

I remember going on a field trip to a creamery, back in the 70's. I think it was called Brown's Velvet Creamery? Am I imagining things?

Seems to be the case at Krispy Kreme as well.

There used to be this little lunch spot on Hollywood St where you'd walk up to the counter and order food.

They had great burgers.

When one of my coworkers order was completed, he walked up to the counter to pick up the food. Immediately after grabbing the food off the counter, a "local" rips the bag out of his hands and hauls arse into the woods around the back of the stand...

The owners were cool and remade his lunch for him.

nah you aren't imagining this at all. Creamery was right at the train tracks at Choctaw on the south side.

NBR used to be a very nice, blue-collar, working class community.

Just joking. Grew up with some in Central. They're good people.

If the Pizzolato family was smart, they'd keep the Louisiana Seafood plant at the Plank Road location and move the store to a larger and newer site in South Baton Rouge. They're about 20 years late on doing that. The move would pay for itself within 3-4 years and they would double if not triple their yearly profits.

LOL they made 50 million in 2015 and your calling them dumb. Do you realize they are one of the most successful businesses in Baton Rouge? Why would you mess with that success?

Do you know how many more millions they could make if they were on a better side of town? It's not like they would lose business. They would gain a bunch more.

Hell, I would venture to say they would need to double the space and amount of employees to keep up with the amount of business they would have.

I'm sure they've discussed the logistics and looked at a forecast involved in moving locations. You don't get rich by being dumb.
