Well, maybe the kid will. Pretty natural to want to reach out to someone who you learn is your father, especially if their absence wasn't the result of being a deadbeat.
You're off the hook financially, and this presumably happened before you fricked your wife for 15 years straight, so while she won't be thrilled, I don't think you bear any blame.
