We've stopped entry into the country before? No?

You have to pass a health screening and quarantine period to gain entry. It's shitty but damn people are gonna die. One has died. In this case I am fine with a little over reaction.

As an RN I would not want to care for one of these folks unless I had proper equipment and re-training.

*sigh*

Getting tired of explaining it. As long as the letter "I" isn't in front, it doesn't matter.

Probably gonna quit doing it soon anyway. It is getting annoying.

Cuz he doesn't want to get Ebola either. 'Keep that shite out of my area' but turns around and says it's hard to catch, don't worry. Yea right.

It's really bad and it's going to spread and kill lots of people until the gov takes it seriously and starts doing what is necessary regardless of political correctness. It's just fundamental science of disease containment. Quit spreading the disease around the world dumb asses:

1. Shut down any travel from the affected areas. You want to get health people in/out, fine, have a charter service to fly people in. If you want out, wait 3 weeks in isolation before getting on outbound charter. No commercial travel.

2. Shut the open southern border.

The thing is, you know these people were in full PPE. How do you get Ebola if you're following procedure and wearing PPE?

Because they didn't follow the proper procedure when wearing PPE or removing it.

The nurse lives a couple blocks from me. It was nice knowing you guys.

Something just occurred to me as I was using the bathroom. Probably a moronic question, but, if someone has Ebola and uses the toilet for whatever, I'm assuming the sanitation aspect of our nation's water supply systems would kill off the virus? I have no idea how that stuff works.

Has the nurse been one of the ones they've been watching since this all started in Dallas? Or has she just been going about her daily life?

Apparently the CDC claimed that she wasn't one of the high risk individuals at risk of contracting the disease - strange since it appears she was caring for Duncan directly - but had her check for fever twice daily.

You don't think the nurse didn't follow every friggin precaution knowing she was dealing with the death virus? I bet she was double gloved/gowned etc. and still got it.

I think the CDC is downplaying the whole thing so public doesn't panic. I think the shite IS airborne and I bet you can get it by breathing a fart from an Ebola patient.

Also, how do you think her boyfriend must feel right now? He's probably been railing this chick and now the CDC says 'don't worry, she didn't have symptoms while you were slammin it, you'll be fine'

I find it kind of funny how EVERY article written about the disease and someone who contracts it always says "you can only get Ebola through direct contact with the body fluids of an infected person" and "only when they are showing symptoms". In reality, nobody has a clue. There's just not enough evidence to truly know.
