Absolutely. Left a Yelp review for a junk removal company that was 4 stars, docking a star for the high pricing. Owner contacted me on my cell phone, thanked me for my business and review, and offered $75 off my next job if I would change my review to 5 stars. Still kind of shady, but this is the way you get reviews changed, not threatening to fricking sue a customer.

As a business owner your job or the managers job is to put the fire out. Unfortunately, there are times the ball is dropped or the problem cannot be fixed to the customers satisfaction.
Filing a lawsuit against someone giving you a 1-star review seems like it will backfire on the business.

Also, sounds like the work was being done for the landlord, not these people. They were asking for a report without authorization.
Owner brings up a good point though, these people had no right to the report and did not do business with this company….
Also, old lady complaining about not having money for a lawyer….then take down the review and you don’t need a lawyer

To be fair, it sounds like the couple are not customers and the allegation is they threatened the business with bad reviews for not sharing information that was between the business and the owner of the home that contracted the services.
If accurate, it’s incredibly shitty behavior by the couple too and they had plenty of opportunity to think better of it.
