Hell right. If Biden and Bill Gates think they can inject me with their queer juice they have another thing coming.

What do you care? You don't know different other than the same type of media.

This pandemic has taught me a number of things, but two that really stick out:
-teachers are perhaps the most selfish and sanctimonious people on the planet
-people actually love government bureaucracy and red tape. For once the government acted semi efficiently and actually partnered with private industry with a common goal and people are freaked out about it

Who exactly don’t you trust at these companies?

The efficacy of the vaccine so far has eased some of my concerns about getting it. I went from definitely not getting it around Oct-Nov to more 50/50 now.
Its clearly shown to be effective and safe in the short term, but all of my questions, baseless or not, about long term effectiveness and safety aren't clear yet.

The point that’s missed with all these theories out there is not in the theory itself, but in the overwhelming distrust in the government on a whole that you see in America today, and quite honestly, for good reason. Smart people generally don’t trust government, because they’re smart people.

DNA altering? Seriously?

In the case of Pfizer, you trust their Viagra, their Lipitor, their Advil, and their Chapstick, but you don’t trust their vaccine??

These are the same type of people who think GMOs are dangerous. Foodstuffs have been genetically modified since agriculture became a thing 11,000 years ago.
For the record, I took the Pfizer vaccine at UC and haven’t had any reactions whatsoever.

Because I don't trust the government to be honest, and actually care about me as a person. That statement has nothing to do with the vaccine.

I don't want to get the vaccine because I enjoy being a general pain in the arse to society.

An mRNA vaccine tricks your DNA into creating the proteins

You just compared a subcutaneously delivered mRNA vaccine to 3 orally delivered small molecules and a lip balm. Just a “little” bit of difference.

Wait. Are you using "injection" literally or metaphorically?

Thank you for pointing that out. My point exactly—no drug is perfectly safe. I have seen numerous deaths from Advil induced duodenal bleeds and from NSAID induced renal failure. I’ll let you know when I see my first death from a COVID vaccine.

It’s really that simple.
Oh, and why do I need a vaccine, from someone I don’t really trust, when the survival rate without it is 99%?
I don’t trust them.
This
Pretty much this. They bought a vaccine to market in 9 months. What could possibly go wrong?
And the manufacturers aren’t liable for anything? frick that.
