They should forgo SS for the next generations. Makes no difference if they paid into it or not.

Me and my employers have put in over hundred K so far (with about 15 more years to go). If I don't get my SS when I hit that target age they might as well just shut it all down. Either that or give me some land or a plane, something to get some of that money back..

This is all any of us are trying to do.

Ok. The point is a "big chunk" of people don't enter the work force when they are sophomores in high school.

I'm 43 and about as old as you can be to be considered a Millennial (I prefer Xenniel) and I haven't been working since 13 and don't personally know anyone else who has except a few Asian kids.

Regardless of the math, the OPs point is that time flies. Oldest millennials are 45.

To make everyone feel better I’ll quote an older colleague of mine. “Life’s like a roll of toilet paper.. it keeps going faster toward the end.”

I was a Groundskeeper at 13 at a local park getting paid under the table by the parish

1981 - "Eldest" Millennials

16 year olds entering the work force in 1997..

So 29, almost 30 years for the eldest. Leave it up to TD to nitpick even when they get the point.

Guys like FAT SEXY actually had a W2 job at 15..

Random example to further the OP point: Minimum age in a state like sayyy Texas for a W2 job? 14

There are some elder millennials that have been earning taxable income for 31+ years...

I think you would have been fine if you would have said a few millennials have been in the work force for almost 30 years. The "big chunk" part may be true with the Amish though. They start working early. And if that's what you meant my apologies, Jedidiah.

1983.. you're two years late for the start of Millennials.

Sounds like you're wish casting yourself into Xenniel status actually.

Aside from Boomers (more of an ‘official’ census name), these generational names and dates have just been made up by marketers and are subjective.

If you think you’re more of a Gen Xer then a millennial that’s fine, no one really cares.

My post wasn't aimed at you, which is why my reply wasnt your post. I hadn't even read it until I saw you responded to mine. I was simply agreeing with the OP that yeah, a lot of us are approaching the 30 yr mark. That's it. That's all it was. And yes, I have worked since sophomore yr. The day I turned 16 my dad told me I had to get a part time job, so I did.

I said a big chunk of the "Eldest"

I didn't imply a majority of the eldest either.. just a big chunk.

They turn 46 next year.
