Can't believe I am upvoting as Draconian Sanctions post for a change

Draconian Sanctions has been well aware of this ridiculous government strategy of dealing with COVID for several months.

This governing via executive fiat has stripped people of a voice and put all of our livelihoods in the hands of individuals. And this past year has revealed which of these individuals govern tyrannically.

I don’t hope COVID ruins you, because I’m not that petty.

But I do enjoy that people largely ignore people like you and can only hope more and more people learn to reject this level of government interference in our lives.

It's not a court date, it's a computer date, nothing more noteworthy than a cyber stalking. He chose to swipe whichever way means eat shite and die.

Sounds like a zoom hearing. Lots of courts are doing those. Telling the court to eat eat shite and die is a sure way not to win. There are legitimate constitutional issues about the legitimacy of these mandates. Those get pushed aside if you just say eat shite and die.

Louisiana is one of the worst about licensing for every industry and business. Louisiana wanted to pass laws several years back that would have made it impossible for you to act as your own contractor on your own house unless you were licensed. It's absurd.

I remember that and completely agree.

I also remember a few years back when the funeral industry was upset that some monks I believe, we’re making free/heavily discounted coffins but weren’t “licensed” to sell coffins so they had them shut down and ended up going to court over.

There are some professions/industries that it makes sense but this state and the government in general is out of control with the licensing bullshite.

Just how the Founders intended. Unelected, lifelong bureaucrats can shut you down. Good ole American dream.

Not yet. Supposed to administer first tier before EOM, we’re behind SNFs on priority list. Corporate mandated on NYE rapid testing for every staff member prior to every shift with no warning, so should be a fun little January.

He’s not skipping court.

It’s a fricking Zoom meeting. Who knows if he even has a capability for a zoom meeting?

This will not end well.

I'm in his favor, if you want to go to a bar and drink it should be your decision.

Wow. My understanding is that our emp are tested twice weekly — if they miss a test day they have to do poc test before their shift — all X-ray, lab personel etc do poc upon entry.

They refuse to add me to that list. And our DON AND ADON resigned — talk about a fun January indeed. Only “good” thing is surveys are on hold atm.

He said it was a court date. Just because they are conducting via zoom doesn’t change that.

Only thing I will say in their favor is that it is better than Chicago... who didn’t tell people it was a Zoom meeting but instead gave them a court date in person AFTER their Zoom meeting already took place.
