You totally pulled this out of your arse. The number of COVID hospitalizations under 50 years old at OLOL is 50%.

FOR or WITH covid?

A vaccinated 40 year old admitted for a car accident that tests positive for covid on intake to the ED is what…. bullshite

Apparently 28% of the geniuses on this board think doctors are no smarter than nurses

The risk profiles are probably close and that is not even taking into effect what could happen 10 years down the line.

We also don’t know what could happen 10 years down the line for those with Covid so sort of a moot point.

Sigh

Far more, orders of magnitude more, have been injured by covid-19

Both are statistically small

Yeh the "10 year argument" is ridiculous for both sides

Or they think that nurses are vaccinated at a very high rate as well and also realize that way more people than doctors and nurses work in a hospital system.

pride, you have the vaxx rate stats by any chance?

Surprisingly far fewer karens on the OT than the poli board. Only 8% of the poli board support the vaccine.

Not really

Currently 38% of covid hospitalizations at Ochsner are under the age of 50

If you want to talk under 60 that number is over 50%

And what are the respective BMIs of each. Just like someone posted about the Dr. JBE brought up to try to hit everyone's feels with the miscarriage info, they don't want to report this because they "need" the healthy people to get the shot too.

Of course, I wonder if they did report the BMI statistics if it would actually entice those that are higher risk to actually go get their vaccines.

The fact that Covid messes with taste and smell should be worrisome for those that are dismissive of the disease and it’s potential long term effects.

Not out of my arse, out of what I've read. Most recently was the info out of Austin planning to shut down.

Eta: this LINK was in the thread about Austin. It's actually about a hospital in Miami. Of the 200 patients in this hospital with covid, 6 of them are under 60. So no I didn't pull that from my arse.

Do you have data on the “orders of magnitude” that you claim? We have 1.5 years of data on 12-18 Covid injuries. We might have 2 months of 12-18 Covid vaccine injuries. We KNOW Covid does almost nothing to 12-18. We might have a little data on what the vaccine does to them.

I will admit that is the only thing that made me nervous about covid

With a cold, your smell goes bad because you are clogged up. But losing your smell and taste because neurologically something is triggered, that seems not good

I work for Ochsner. They are pressuring us into it right now before they make it mandatory. In 3 weeks will have to get weekly testing and wear N95 everywhere even in an office setting I think. I don't have mine yet and am around covid patients constantly. Not sure if they will bill our insurance for the weekly tests yet, and if I will have to drive every week on an off day to get one. Im sure they will make it difficult. They want to boast about their numbers I'm sure. Not sure if anyone else has posted this yet, I didn't read all responses.
