Y'all are ridiculous.
All I was pointing out is that these moron muslims think what they did was right. A normal human being knows they are murderous pieces of shite. Everyone here thinks what we did in dropping atom bombs was right, and I think that too, dumbasses. But maybe, just maybe, the innocent Japs that were killed by that bomb don't feel what we did was right. Just trying to point out to look at the perspective of others and their rationale, whether it's right or wrong.
Doesn't mean i'm a muslim loving 9/11 hater, bunch of idiots.
There is a time and place for this kind of discussion.
Today isn't it.

The reason I brought it up, is this.
Yesterday I asked my 8 year old if he knew what tomorrow was. He said Wednesday. I said no the date. He said the 11th. And I asked him if he knew what happened on that day.
He said that's the day the towers in NYC fell, and he knew that b/c we visited the site in December.
He asked why they ran the planes into it and all and I explained to him about the radical muslims and then explained how brave the fireman were to try to save all the people in the towers knowing they might die. That's when he said "those guys are the real heroes, they are like real life captain America's".
I had mentioned how these muslims killed a lot of innocent people earlier in this attack, but I guess it stuck with him for some reason. For whatever reason he asked me if we killed a lot of innocent people when we dropped the atom bomb, which I didn't even know he really knew about that. kinda caught me off guard. I explained to him exactly what all you idiots are trying to explain to me as if I didn't already know that, how it was something we had to do and that they were never going to stop, and in war, sometimes innocent people die, but we usually try our best to not kill innocent people.
He then asked me if the Japan people hate us as much as we hate the muslims. I guess I had really drove the point to him how much we, or I, don't like the radical muslims. I had to explain that I didn't mean every muslim is a terrible person and there are many peaceful ones that don't think like these radical ones. Then told him that I think the Japanese people understood why we did what we did and have forgiven us and that we have a good relationship with Japan now.
That entire interaction yesterday just made me think about the perspective of others and how they see us.

But you have many now who don't want to remember for any reason at all, and that too is sad.
I actually heard someone say that exact thing this morning. I looked at them, got up from the table without saying a word and walked away. Left him sitting there. I wonder if he has the balls to ask me why I did what I did. I'm not sure I can be as polite if I give him an explanation.

His "Oh god no" still haunts me to this day after hearing is so many years ago.

I just visited ground zero a few weeks ago with my wife.
It was Asian tourists taking selfies, people talking and smiling, and parents chasing kids everywhere.
Very little somber reflection outside of a handful of people.
The site should be regulated and all entrances posted with signs explaining that it is a site for remembrance and reverence. ALL activities and actions by visitors should reflect this and if you cannot comply, you will be asked or escorted away.
There are plenty of other places to have fun.

Attacking civilians is the biggest bitch move anyone can do.
I do recall dropping these big arse bombs on Japan quite some time ago. Sort of killed a lot of innocent civilians
——-
Goddamn pathetic.

That's one on the big things that struck my wife and I when we visited in 2014. Foreigners were playing and laughing, nudging you out the way to take goofy selfies. It was sickening and I couldn't help but wonder what the families of the people killed might feel if they were there seeing all of this.
U.S. travelers do this too in other countries.

Yep. That is how it is at Auschwitz. I went with my family as a teenager and it really struck me how quiet it was. Almost eerie how quiet it was at times. I later went to the 9/11 memorial and was really taken aback at how flippant and disrespectful some people were acting.
I just remembered while typing this out. A few months back, the host of the morning radio show I listen to went to Auschwitz and had just bought some new insoles for us sneakers. Turns out they were squeaking and making almost a fart noise with every step he took and the tour guide pulled him aside and asked him to leave halfway through the tour.

understand why we did it, and it needed to be done, but don't act like we didn't kill a shite load of innocent people in doing so.
Firebombing Tokyo killed more people than the atom bombs, just so you know.

The end of that call is harrowing. I've got chills.

Were there ever any stories done on the 911 operators from that day? I can't imagine being the operator on that call.
Wondering the same. I know that there was one done of a 911 operator (or maybe she was FAA??) named Lisa that Todd Beamer talked to -- his wife was also named Lisa.
Man I so want to hate today but if I do they win. Be nice and do a kind deed today ya'll.

Islam is an evil religion.Read the Koran ,makes you understand the Muslim mindset.Tells them over and over it is their duty to convert infidels and if they won’t convert ,to kill them.Mohammed painted such a wonderful picture of heaven( for men) and the surest way to get there is by killing infidels. There are levels in heaven, the (penthouse)is reserved for those who die killing infidels. They will have the choicest of virgins, the most luscious, delicious fruit, etc. That is why they are so willing to die.
I don’t shop at these convenience stores owned by Muslims,I am suspicious that large portion of their profits go to support terrorists and jihad, which is their duty as they are taught.
I don’t really feel animosity toward individual Muslims, they are born into this evil religion, indoctrinated in it from childhood, therefore they believe it.Just like any other religion, large percent of people born into a religion will follow it as adults.
It infuriated me when George W.Bush would be on television giving a speech talking about Islam being “a religion of peace”.I wanted to reach through the screen and choke the shite out of him.It is anything but a religion of peace.
