Have to keep restrictions in place because we’re scared of a Mardi Gras spike, and again for a st. Patrick’s day spike, and again for an Easter spike, and again for a Memorial Day spike, and again for a Fourth of July spike...

I’ve lost faith in society and how they let this virus mess so many things up. It should be up to the individual whether or not they go out and do things, not the govt

Dude, they are never letting this go. As long as there are a few cases or hospitalizations around there will be calls to cancel all events, keep bars shut down, etc. You are dealing with a religious cult at this point.

Making decisions for the whole state is stupid any way bc the virus hit different parts of the state at different times.
In January there were 2000 people hospitalized with COVID. That sounds important until you realize that there were only 400 in the NO region. Why? Bc that is 600 less than there were hospitalized back in April. The hospitals were getting stressed then but they were able to handle it. If they could handle 1000 back in April then they should be able to handle 400 eight/nine months later. That doesn’t even account for knowing a lot more about the virus and how to treat it which they obviously do now.

Amen. After the first few months life should have went back to somewhat normal for everyone.
frickers shutdown places for 9 months in some cases and even had people wearing mask outside and they virus still did it's thing.
And the crap that Destroya did with Nola this weekend is criminal. Stopping grocery stores downtown from being able to sell alcohol is beyond stupid in addition to the other crap.

Haven’t you heard? There is variant after variant out there. The “experts” are now predicting even worse doom in three months.
We always have to wait for the true doom to get here.

It is no longer about the numbers. The goalposts will now shift to something else

Why don't you want Karen to feel safe?

Lol. We still need to mask up, social distance and have everything shut down for the foreseeable future. . We don't want those numbers going up.
