I remember an August morning in 2002 or 2003 , maybe 2004, a cold front came in for football practice and it was legitimately chilly. never thought it was possible.this was in northwest Louisiana . it may have been in the mid 50s

Lady bugs or love bugs? Sometimes people confuse the two.
I call love bugs the double little flying insect that’s black and orange.
Lady bugs are those red and black little suckers.

My Grandpa called them telephone bugs because they say hello and hang up.

I always remember that year as I was installing vinyl siding those few days and it was so nice.

OK. Remind us when it happens.

I’ve never seen this many lovebugs in the Houston area until this year. They were absolutely nuts while I was doing yard work Saturday. Growing up in southeast Louisiana, that was expected, but in my 18 years here, I’ve never seen anything close to this many.

Its all about the humidity.
60s in late August still probably means 90+ in the afternoon with a big chance of swamp arse.

I remember when this happened. I had just moved into my apartment right off of campus and though "this feels like football". The following year was one of best and most fun years of my life.

I can remember a "cool" home opener for LSU back around 1990, second game of the year. It was upper 60's for a 630 kick off.
Please Baby Jesus make this happen.

This may sound strange but I have always said a cool front is coming when I start seeing love bugs. I saw one tonight on my patio.
One?
I had hundreds on mine Sunday. Hate those fricking things.
Hope you are correct as to what that portends.
