I agree with this. But if it’s even remotely true then it’s not even on the kids and completely on the parents for allowing and enabling that dumb shite.

There is no chance in hell I’d hire someone who brought their parent to an interview. I don’t even blame the kids, the parents fvcking suck

True story of a 25 yr old I interviewed about 2 years ago:

I began an HVAC company, and needed someone with experience to run it.

First interview with the guy went great. Clean cut, well spoken, 7 years of experience, new family (married with first child on the way-so he had a want/need to hustle).

Narrowed it down to two dudes.

Next interview, he wants to bring his father in law in. Which was weird, but I was like, okay, maybe the old dude has some suggestions or wants to hear the offer or whatever.

Nothing like that. The old guy talked for 45 minutes, and when the kid would speak, he would demean him like a puppy. "Jack, you're talking about things the guy doesn't care about. Let us talk". "Jack, there you go again, speaking too much. You're boring him with details".

After the conversation ended, older guy asked if they could speak in private and then return. I said sure. At that time, I had an insurance agency with a lobby of three agents, plus my wife was visiting, and I went to the lobby, and was like, "Am I on candid camera? What the hell is going on?"

They came back, and said they would like to negotiate the offer. I said fine, email me a counter and we'll go from there.

Obv I never offered the dude the position. Supposedly he went to rehab not shortly thereafter.

Yep, I remember that episode well and thinking I would have disowned my mother if she did that to me.

So, do these helicopter mom's bathe and dress these simps too?

My sister-in-law is a dentist. She interviewed a girl to be a dentist there. She brought her dad with her for an interview.
