I’m 100% Let’s Go Brandon

But saying that Americans won’t be able to get what they need is a little silly. We usually spend ridiculous amounts of money on cheap Chinese gifts that go in the trash after a few months. It would do a lot of people some good to practice some self restraint.

That being said, inflation is just about the worst thing that can happen to this economy and Brandon is doing everything to make it worse.

Do you do the grocery shopping for your household?

We’ve had to change meal plans because our local groceries run out of various items that we needed. We aren’t starving, but it’s been a real pain in the arse lately to plan meals for the week.

It is only affecting people who have to eat or put fuel in their vehicle.

23% of people are legit retarded
—no, they get free money, cell phones, rent and food from the gummint, so they aren't affected by inflation.

I obviously see the increase in prices, but I count myself fortunate that I haven’t changed any shopping or traveling behavior as a result - yet.

Not sure if I’d be in the 23% or not with that answer.

So a full 23% of this country work for or live off the govt?

Working for the government doesn't make you immune to inflation. That's almost as dumb a thought as the 23% that think they aren't affected by inflation.

This was inevitable ever since it was decided to spend vast amounts of money to prop up the stock market way back in Spring of 2020. People out complaining about the relatively small amount of money that went to unemployment and small businesses- at least THAT money almost always gets spent into the economy, unlike the billions that was transferred from the bottom 3/4s of the population to to the top 1%.

Will the collapse of the global supply chain mean that more stuff will start being manufactured within US borders? Possibly, but also understand that means things will be more expensive because your fellow citizens also want to be able to live a decent life while earning a fair wage for their labors and be able to afford the time and money for "off" time.

As for oil prices, no matter how much drilling or exploitation of the resources the US has will mean that we are not still greatly dependent on other countries' production. Individually and collectively, if we all worked to find ways to be less dependent on oil, then OPEC wouldn't be able to dictate the costs. And let's face it, domestic oil and gas producers absolutely exploit perceived shortages far more than they need to because it is a boom and bust industry and the people in charge like their wealthy life style.
