I worked at a popup fireworks stand once and we went stoney time out back. We planted the seeds behind it and checked on it a month or so later, I'll be damned if it didn't grow.

In Louisiana, only the government can manufacture distribute and charge absurd premiums for something you could otherwise grow yourself in a red solo cup.

I agree. This is pretty embarrassing. If it's true that this was purely personal and medicinal, the SO there should be ashamed of themselves. I doubt that this guy had any enterprise going with a few plants.
They'd be better off cruising around getting people off the road that look and smell like they are coming from the latest taping of cheech and chong.
Pot heads are going to have a rough time if the police can ever figure out a legal and proven way to determine thc amounts through breath or saliva.

The transition is not yet 100% complete. While a December 2025 Executive Order directed an immediate move to Schedule III, the DEA clarified in January 2026 that administrative steps (like a "final rule" in the Federal Register) must be finished before it is legally official.
Hopefully he pleads not guilty and his trial isn't until after its official... they'll still try to frick him since it was schedule 1 when arrested but would make good theatre
