The American population has more than doubled since the Great Depression.

Its also likely that reported numbers from the 30's are much lower than the actual numbers compared to modern days.

Always nice to see the token concern of people re: suicide rates and 'compassion' for workers. Reality is most of you people making the 'but the economy' argument only give a shite about yourselves because you probably oppose other pro-worker policies like raising the minimum wage, universal paid sick leave, etc.
