Are you a stupid SOB in every single one of your posts?

Anyway, you saying something is not a fact. That’s not how that works.

Secondly, one was the fricking POTUS, it shouldn’t even be debatable who SHOULD have done more with the resources at hand. Like everything he has EVER done in his public life, he used other peoples money to accomplish it (tax dollars)… the opposite is DJT the candidate who used his own.

JFC this was a state level failure. I’ve worked several natural disasters in the National Guard and volunteer. It was running fairly smoothly in my AOO at harrells ferry and Jones creek until the state took over. Within 3 hours we were with transportation and fuel and had a bunch of jack legs trying to run watercraft not made for the situation.

Trump came to BR with a few trailer truckloads of supplies paid for out of his own pocket. Spent a few hours helping to pass the stuff out himself.

Thank you for your service.

I also think I remember Red Cross coming into shelters and food distribution locations and turning those into shitshows and making dumb decisions at the time

I’m just saying that Obama visited LA during the floods. As shitty of a president that he was, there were some positive things he did like Obamacare.

He’s one of the ones that it’s hard to tell if he’s a tard or just a troll.

No I’m not. I genuinely believe that Obamacare, while flawed, had some positive aspects to it. It was a mix of privatized insurance programs and government programs. Wasn’t entirely universal like the UK or Canada.

Do you not believe in having at least some kind of safety net for people who can’t afford private? There needs to be a balance between privatized and universal. It’s that simple. Doesn’t need to be completely privatized nor completely universal

I believe that the Federal government should provide for the national defense, maintain the interstate highways, enforce the Constitution, settle disputes between states and pretty much nothing else.

Yep. Our local shelter went from running smoothly with lots of groups providing incredible food and supplies. Red Cross came in and food starts rotting and people are eating a piece of bread a scoop of mac and cheese. Total chitshow.

We got it bad in our neighborhood in central. Luckily our house was one of the only ones that didn’t get flooded

And then I was like....

Anyway. Yeah all of BR was on islands. My place off cedarcrest happened to be on higher ground praise God. Further east down old hammond esp past millerville water was up past the soffit and roofs were only part of houses showing.

At&t towers were down. Never saw that happen before I woke up with no power at 10 am as expected but did not expect no data to communicate.. Or anything else during that nightmare

700 sandbags later, my head is still clouded about all the decisions I made that week. Literally a game of inches and I lost that battle

This! I remember downing Gatorades and water by the truckload and my hands getting raw from sweating so much in gloves swinging hammers and mauls gutting houses.

Yep. Ours too. In the process of having to raise our house now. Notified 5 years after the flood we are required to raise our house because LP wasn’t supposed to issue permits to “substantially damaged” homes. Still dealing with flood shite 7 years later. And only 23 years left on the SBA loan. Lmao
