Explorer I, sitting atop a Juno rocket, is successfully launched into orbit. It is the first man made object to be sent into space by the United States.

Why would you say that? I work at multiple launch and testing sites and they are all building for the future.

Make NASA Great Again?

MNGA?

You can determine the pronunciation you want to use on this acronym.

Yes it is. I got chills when they started playing Us and Them, the perfect song to have Voyager fly to

Where is it now? Is it just floating through space somewhere?

Made me think of the theme song to Team America:World Police, and yes, it is a great movie. Now I will have that song in my head all day. Which isn't a bad thing. In fact, Trump should use it for his Campaign song for his re-election.

60 years ago and we just reached space, now we’re driving around on Mars and flying past Pluto. Amazing to think about really

Probably de-orbited it decades ago. Or its orbit just decayed until it burned up in the atmosphere.

Explorer 1 launched from Complex 26, Pad B, now the site of the Air Force Missile & Space Museum.

Trump should announce the reactivation of the Apollo project. Let’s go back to the moon.
