I remember when that was yuge in LFT, they used to shut down Johnston St. to land airplanes on it to display at the EXPO, I've even landed and taken a few out of there for the show before

Press release on the radio just said they need more square footage to accommodate more vendors in order to grow the event.

Essentially saying they've outgrown the Cajundome and it's parking lots.

Gas prices are sky high. This isn't about O&G, but about personal production I would guess.

I’ve read the oilfield is coming back.

But it’s coming back more automated than ever before. More efficient. Less people required.

Things are changing.

Don't want to say you're a "stock broker" for an H&R Block in a strip mall next to a Brookshires?

It's about $2.50 in South LA. I wouldn't call that sky high.

Highest OCS lease bidding in a long time and even included some good bids for shelf work. We are seeing a big surge in the Gulf.

I thought with up around $60, Stone Energy would come back like before.

I was wrong. That great company is gone and their buildings are for sale.

Also, talked with a lady who can't lease her rent house at this time. Too many on the market. So she's trying airB&B.

Sucks when people lose their jobs, but in certain industries your head is always on a swivel.

Anywhere from $3.59 to 3.89 in L.A.

Tell them to hook uhauls up to their 250's and head to Midland.

This is the 21st Century, and, I'll bet that at this point in history, Midland, TX, has developed into a mighty fine place to live.

True or False?

for a website founded and ran in the Deep South who historically and currently who's economy is heavily based off of O&G, this board sure does hate people who have O&G related careers.

I've been looking at jobs lately, and entry-level ME ones in Midland aren't paying as much as I thought. The ones I saw were only at like $65-75k. Not even worth the move. I could get that in SELA, and not have to look at fricking tumbleweeds all day

re: 6 oilfield baws laid off in my building today.Posted on 8/30/18 at 12:21 pm to Count Chocula That's odd. The only interviews (and 75% of job openings) I've been getting are from oilfield supply companies. I've heard nothing but positive things about the industry from higher-ups. That is mainly offshore stuff. GOM Yucatan Guyana Brazil West Africa North Sea Off of Peru, and an island I forgot in the Mediterranean IIRC, the guy told me they're looking at the whole "Ring of Fire" in the Pacific. Guyana was just an accidental discovery. The Mediterranean thing was completely unexpected also

That's a shame. The best pricing on F-250's is coming up this weekend.
